Welcome to Bern

Bern, the capital of Switzerland, is a compact and welcoming city set along a bend of the Aare River. Founded in 1191, it is known for its well-preserved medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and landmarks such as the Zytglogge clock tower, the Federal Palace, and Bern Cathedral. The city is easy to explore on foot and well connected by public transport. With its mix of history, culture, and everyday urban life, Bern offers a culturally rich environment, with a wide range of museums, galleries, and theaters, providing a pleasant and accessible setting for conference participants.

Accommodation

In order to assist PASC26 participants in their search for a hotel, we have made a room block booking at several hotels in Bern. A limited number of rooms at reduced rates are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so booking early will give you the best selection. After entering your check-in and check-out dates and selecting the room type, you will be able to see the remaining availability at each hotel. Detailed cancellation and booking conditions can be found on the final page of the booking process.
